CalOMSDirect is part of the MedTranDirect Electronic Claim Processing suite. The California Outcomes Measurement System (CalOMS) plays a key role in California's Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) mission of reducing alcohol and other drug (AOD) problems in California. CalOMS plays this role by providing outcomes measurement in support of treatment programs. Treatment data collection is required from providers licensed for narcotic replacement therapy and providers receiving ADP funding.

CalOMSDirect collects treatment data at the time of admission and discharge for California's Alcohol and Drug Programs. This includes data that will be collected annually for clients in treatment for over twelve months. Data collection is allowed for both juvenile and adult clients. Collected treatment data file is created for electronic submission to ITWS (Information Technology Web Services). CalOMSDirect has been designed for use by both counties and direct providers.

Below is a list of some of the collected data types:

  • Client Identification and Demographic
  • Admission
  • Transaction
